Is it safe in Mexico?
Yes, Mexico is friendly to the U.S. and entry is easy.  We are located about four hours South of San Diego, CA,
with  good roads to our area.  The
ministry base is very safe and secure.  It is fenced and located in an open
area with a distant view of the ocean.  While on the base you will have: electricity, hot showers, flushing toilets,
bunk beds with cushions, purified water, kitchen, dining room, meeting room, play area and more.  The base
provides a safe haven to retreat to after a full day of activities.

Where are you located in Mexico?
We are located about 200 miles South of San Diego, in the Valley of San Quintín, Baja California, Mexico.  For
more on the area and a map of Baja California go to:
Map of Baja California

Who can come?
Missions to Mexico provides short term mission opportunities for youth short term mission groups, adult mission
groups, family mission groups, church mission groups, or mixed mission groups.  We can handle any kind of a
group you might want to bring.  The ministry base can presently accommodate up to 140 people.  Most short term
mission groups tend to be made up of youth and family.

How long will we serve in Mexico?
One full week. Your short term mission group will arrive at our ministry base Saturday afternoon and leave the
following Saturday morning (schedule can be altered if you like).

Will we be mixed with other short-term groups?
No.  Although our ministry base is large and we can accommodate more than one short term mission group at a
time, you will be your own mission group and will have your own kitchen, dining room, meeting room, dorms,
showers, bathrooms.  You will also serve and minister as your own mission group.

What experience do you have in working with short-term mission groups?
We have 14 years of experience in working with short term mission teams.  Ten of these years as long term
missionaries, and four years leading short term mission trips.  We have led youth group mission trips, family
mission trips, adult mission trips, church mission trips, and mixed groups having youth, adults, and families.

What other experience do you have?
We have 26 years of extensive ministry experience both in the U.S. and in Mexico.  During this time we have
served as: Youth Directors, Campus Life Staff, AWANA Directors, Sunday School Teachers, Youth Pastor (with a
youth group totaling around 150 students), Associate Pastor (in a church of 600), Hispanic Outreach Pastor,
Building Construction Chairman for the construction of two major church expansion projects, and as missionaries.
We also have experience in the secular field in agriculture and construction.  For more go to:
About Us/References

Our ministry here in Mexico includes the following, 1) working with short-term mission groups of youth, family,
church and mixed,  2) serving the pastors (about 80) and churches with our pastor and church mobile resource
library, 3) seminar ministry, 4) speaking ministry, 5) providing counsel & support to the pastors, 6)  serving on the
board of the ministerial alliance in our area, 7) construction projects, and 8) planting churches.  We would be
happy to give you references of who we are and about our ministry.

What will our short term mission team do?
Work Projects:  These projects are done in the morning from about 9:00am - 12:00.  They are such projects as:
painting, cleaning, construction, cement work, digging, laying blocks and etc.  The kind of work projects depends
on the skill and abilities of your group.  The money for materials for your work projects comes out of your group
fees.  To learn more about work projects go to:
Work Projects

Vacation Bible School: In the afternoon you will do a Vacation Bible School for children ranging in age from
3-12.  This will be held at the church where you'll be serving at for the week while in Mexico.  You will start off
outside the church with games, then move inside to do songs, puppets, story (provided by us), and crafts &
snacks.  We provide the puppets and puppet material for you to use.  To learn more about Vacation Bible School

Evangelism/Visitation Outreaches:  Your kick-off to the week will begin Sunday afternoon.  You will hook up
with some of the Mexican Christians from the church that you'll serve at for the week, and go out into the
community to pass out tracks and invite them to the activities you'll do during the week you're here.  Also, in the
mornings (Mon.-Thurs.) part of your group (about five) will join some Mexican Christians to visit homes, pray for
them, encourage, and see how they live.  The rest of your group will be involved in work projects.  It's a great
time to see the culture up close, work alongside Mexican believers, and spread the gospel.  For more go to
Evangelism/Visitation Outreaches

Church Outreaches
Several nights during the week you will do some church ministry at the church you'll be serving at for the week
while in Mexico.  There will be two church ministry outreaches during the week (Sunday and Tuesday or
Wednesday).  The nights might vary according to the church schedule where you'll be serving at.  The first
night (Sunday) you will take the children out for their first V.B.S. after your participation in front of the church.
The other outreach night (Tues. or Wed.) the children can be taken out as well if your group would like. You'll
sing, share testimonies, do a puppet show,  show an evangelistic movie (provided by us) and more.  Be
prepared to be touched by the Mexican people you'll serve.
