Our Long Term Missionaries
Missions to Mexico has long term resident missionaries
who will serve alongside of you during your time in
Mexico.  They will also help you in answering any questions
about taking a short term mission trip to Mexico and about
registration and scheduling.  They have worked and studied
hard to understand the language, culture, and history of
Mexico. Their goal is to serve you, and the people of Mexico
in a way that is effective and genuine.  Currently they have
14 years experience in working with Short Term Mission
Groups and are in their 10th year as the Site Missionaries
and Directors of Missions to Mexico.

Following is a little about our long term resident missionaries:

We are proud to say that our resident missionaries have 29 years of extensive ministry experience both in
the U.S. and in Mexico.  During this time they have served as: Youth Directors, Campus Life Staff, AWANA
Directors, Sunday School Teachers, Youth Pastors (with a youth group totaling around 150 students),
Associate Pastor (in a church of 600), Hispanic Outreach Pastor, Building Construction Chairman for the
construction of two major church expansion projects, and as missionaries.  They also have experience in the
secular field in agriculture and construction.

Currently they have been missionaries in Mexico for about 10 years and are the founders of Missions to
Mexico.  Their ministry in Mexico includes the following, 1) working with short-term mission groups,
2) serving pastors and churches with a pastor and church mobile resource library, 3) seminar ministry,
4) speaking ministry, 5) providing counsel & support to pastors, 6)  construction projects to improve church
facilities, and, 7) planting churches.

They have four children of whom all speak Spanish fluently.  They are choice servants of the Lord with
extensive ministry experience.  They have a very respected ministry in Mexico and are on the board of the
ministerial alliance in the region where they serve.  Please feel secure and confident of their capabilities in
serving you.

If you would like a list of references of other church short-term mission groups who have served with us,
please let us know, we will gladly send you an ample list.  We have served countless groups who have come
on short-term mission trips to Mexico with us.

PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
We have discovered that short term mission groups can play a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission
when linked up with long term missionaries.   We are constantly asked by churches in Mexico if we can send
them a group.  We have developed our philosophy of ministry as a result of seeking advice from national
pastors, from reading extensively about misiology, from our experience as missionaries, and from working
with short-term mission groups.  Over the years the pastors and churches in Mexico have grown to trust,
respect and seek out our ministry.

Our philosophy of ministry focuses on linking up short-term mission groups with specially chosen churches
in Mexico. Through these churches they do their ministries & outreaches. By strengthening and working
through the local church, the fruit of a short term mission group will remain long after they're gone.  This is
our philosophy of ministry that ensures maximum fruit and impact.  Our long term missionaries will select the
church you'll serve at and assist you during your stay in Mexico.

We should also mention, because it is a modern day phenomenon, that we shy away from using materialism
in the evangelism process (not meaning VBS Crafts, Snacks & etc., but the excessive use of food, clothes &
etc. in order to draw a crowd).  We do this for two reasons: 1) Upon our careful analysis of the ministry of
Christ, that of His Disciples, the Apostle's work in spreading the gospel to the known world, and the many
books we've read on misiology, we don't see the use of materialism used in order to evangelize.  2) Most of
the pastors we talk with say that when materialism is used to evangelize, the people learn quick and just
come for the handout, and it actually desensitizes them to the gospel.  However, in the event that we do give
to the needy, we let the local pastor facilitate this as he truly knows his people and their genuine needs.
